What is Sentinel Board?
Sentinel Board is a downloadable API and Flutter mobile app security testing toolkit. It pairs an OWASP-aligned command-line scanner with a local dashboard: run the scanner against a target you're authorized to test, export a JSON report, and import it into the dashboard to see your security posture, prioritized findings, and control coverage in one view.
How do I test my API for security vulnerabilities?
Install the toolkit's one dependency (Python 3.8+), then run python api-testing/api-test-suite.py https://your-api.example.com --output findings.json against a system you own or are authorized to test. Open dashboard.html and click Import report to load the results — findings, severity, and coverage appear instantly.
Does it work for Flutter mobile apps?
Yes. Sentinel Board is built with Flutter apps in mind: it includes a Flutter mobile security checklist and an OWASP Top 10 assessment guide, plus the automated scanner for testing your app's backend API. It's a practical fit for anyone shipping a Flutter app who needs to check its security before release.
What vulnerabilities does the scanner check for?
The scanner runs OWASP-aligned checks for missing authentication and broken access control, injection (SQL, command, and reflected XSS), weak or missing security headers, permissive CORS, missing HTTPS/TLS, and information disclosure — then scores your overall posture and lists each finding by severity.
Is my data sent to the cloud?
No. The dashboard runs entirely in your browser with no account and no server — your scan results never leave your machine. There's nothing to sign up for and nothing hosted on our side.
Is it legal to use?
Sentinel Board is for authorized security testing only — systems you own or have explicit written permission to test. The scanner asks you to confirm authorization before it runs. Testing systems you don't own without permission is illegal; don't do it.
